NATA Accreditation and Fume Cupboard Testing

In 1988 Conditionaire International Pty. Limited was the first company to achieve NATA accreditations and fume cupboard testing.

Conditionaire are an accredited * NATA Laboratory (Accreditation number 2433) and has achieved the level of technical compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 in the field of Mechanical Testing for the tests shown on the Scope of Accreditation as issued by NATA.

Nata AccreditationFume cupboard on site testing is required to be carried out in compliance with AS / NZS 2243.8:2006 Safety in Laboratories Part 8: Appendix A and B and we are also able to carry out overall system compliance inspections to Appendix F .

As well as new installation, commissioning and testing, under our accreditation authority we are able to carry out the requirements of AS / NZS 2243.8 which states that fume cupboards must have a major service every twelve (12) months and recommends a minor service every six (6) months.

The WorkCover regulators apply this standard when assessing whether fume cupboards meet the compliance of occupational health and safety requirements.

When carrying out testing of your fume cupboard we provide you with a detailed test report and a label (refer to sample shown below) is placed on each fume cupboard stating the results of Appendix A and B, the report reference, the name of the qualified technician, the test date and the recommended retest date all in accordance with our NATA scope of accreditation
